EDINBURGH, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese giant pandas Yang Guang and Tian Tian living at Edinburgh Zoo Thursday were treated with a selection of tasty ice lollies for their upcoming birthday celebration.

Born on Aug. 14 and Aug. 24 respectively and both turning 13 years old this month, Yang Guang and Tian Tian thoroughly enjoyed their treats, which were made from mushed up apple and water plus their favourite item of food bamboo used as a popsicle stick, said the press release from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) that owns the Zoo.

The pandas immediately got their paws on the panda-sicles and whilst neatly holding the bamboo stick, slowly started to nibble on the novel frozen treat, it added.

"Yang Guang and Tian Tian really enjoyed their frozen treats. Tian Tian preferred to enjoy her ice lolly outside, whilst Yang Guang wanted to eat his lolly inside instead. It was the very first time that we tried making panda-friendly ice lollies, but the keepers were delighted to see the two pandas picking up the lollies and enjoying them. Whilst pandas are known for having a predominantly bamboo-based diet, they do also enjoy special treats of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as honey and specially made panda cake,"said Darren McGarry, Head of Living Collections at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo.

"The ice lollies are a fantastic form of enrichment, with the cold ice providing a sensory stimulation. Enrichment forms an important part of our animals' care and we always ensure we provide the animals with a wide and varying enrichment program." he added.

The two pandas have celebrated their previous birthdays at the Edinburgh Zoo with special panda cakes and beautiful handmade bamboo number structures as well as a tiered ice cake.

Whilst recent survey estimates show that wild giant panda populations are increasing, there is still a long way to go to ensure the future survival of the endangered iconic species, said the press release.

The RZSS is currently facilitating 40 giant panda-related research projects worldwide, through funding, part-funding and collaborations, it added.

Yang Guang and Tian Tian arrived at the Zoo on Dec. 4, 2011 from China for a 10-year exchange program. Enditem

2018 New Orleans Saints Training Camp Preview

Messagepar laiyongcai92 » Ven 04 Jan 2019, 08:45

Safety The New Orleans Saints have not had a safety make the Pro Bowl since the 2010 season Ken Crawley Jersey , when Roman Harper earned the honors. The Saints pass defense had ranked lower than 25th in yards allowed in five of six seasons prior to last year, and 30th or lower four of those times. Colossally poor free agent signings (Jairus Byrd, 2014), coupled with inconsistent production from high draft picks (Kenny Vaccaro, 1st round, 2013; Malcolm Jenkins, 1st round, 2009) led to a lack of playmakers in the last line of defense, and record-setting futility as a result. New Orleans invested two high picks in back to back drafts at the safety position while in the process of rebuilding every level of their defense. Today's training camp preview has a look at how this position may influence the fate of the 2018 Saints. SAFETYKey Losses: Kenny Vaccaro (free agent), Rafael Bush (free agent, Bills)Key Additions: Kurt Coleman (free agent, Panthers), Natrell Jamerson (cb/s-draft, 5th round)Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsThe issue that everyone will want to talk about is this: How will Marcus Williams recover mentally from the mistake that caused the Minnesota Vikings to pull off the improbable last second miracle to prevent the Saints from going to the NFC Championship game? Don't forget that it was his stellar play in the second half, including an acrobatic interception that set up a key touchdown, that helped put the Saints in a position to win that game in the first place. Williams, a 2nd round pick last season (42nd overall), was one of an incredible four New Orleans draft choices to be voted onto the NFL's All-Rookie team. His four interceptions were second on the team, and he was third on the team in total tackles. Williams has excellent range in the secondary, along with good play recognition ability and the athleticism to get there and make a play. He gave the Saints their first legitimate playmaker on the back end since Darren Sharper during the 2009 championship season. Williams has had fanatical focus during the offseason Cheap Josh LeRibeus Jersey , and this young player who played at a Pro Bowl level at times as a rookie looks poised to take another big leap forward. Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty ImagesPrior to using a second round pick on Williams last season, New Orleans had used a 2nd rounder (61st overall) on Vonn Bell in the 2016 draft. Bell's tackle totals last year were a bit down from his rookie outing, but he still led the Saints defense in stops. He has yet to show the ballhawking skills he was known for at Ohio State, having yet to record an interception in his professional career. Bell has shown solid man-to-man coverage skills, and plays well close to the line of scrimmage, one of the reasons the team elected not to try and re-sign Vaccaro. He has proven to be an excellent blitzer as well, finishing tied for second on the team with 4.5 sacks. Chris Banjo provided outstanding special teams play, but also had an interception last season, and contributed some solid snaps at safety during the year. Banjo will look to hold off undrafted free agent J.T. Gray and former Falcons special teamer Sharrod Neasman for one of the final roster spots in the secondary. Photo by Grant Halverson/Getty ImagesTo offset the loss of Vaccaro, the Saints signed former Carolina Panthers safety Kurt Coleman in free agency. The 30-yr. old Coleman began his career with Philadelphia in 2010, spending the last three seasons with the division rival Panthers. He has 21 career interceptions, including 11 and two touchdown returns with Carolina, and an NFC-best 7 pick-offs in 2015. Coleman did not have an interception in 2017, but did lead the Carolina secondary in tackles despite missing four games. He brings decent range at free safety, veteran leadership, and extensive familiarity of the quarterbacks and receivers in the NFC South. Photo by Mike Ehrmann/Getty ImagesThe Saints drafted former Wisconsin standout Natrell Jamerson in the 5th round this spring, then followed that by drafting Kamrin Moore from Boston College in the 6th round. Jamerson and Moore were both primarily cornerbacks in college, but will likely get looks at safety in camp, and are outstanding special teams performers. Jamerson in particular, who came to Wisconsin as a receiver but played both safety and corner for the Badgers Cheap Vonn Bell Jersey , could work his way into a key role in the secondary. Despite his inexperience as a defensive back, he shows natural instincts for the position and outstanding athletic ability. New Orleans surprised some by not pursuing Vaccaro or any other big name at safety during free agency, but the safety play was much improved a year ago even without Vaccaro in the lineup at various points. Williams has the look of a perennial Pro Bowler, Bell showed marked improvement in his second season, and Coleman can still provide solid play as a starter. Banjo, or one of the young newcomers, will need to improve to solidify depth, and are expected to contribute heavily on special teams. Vonn Bell and Marcus Williams are among a group of young Saints defenders 25-yrs. old or younger, and their progression is vital for a rapidly improving New Orleans defense that is expected to push for a championship in 2018. Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the lessons his team learned losing improbable fashion will help his team the rest of the season.Harbaugh praised his team's performance against New Orleans 鈥?with the possible exception of one missed kick.Playing without two starting offensive linemen and with standout cornerback Marlon Humphrey watching from the sideline on Sunday, the Ravens limited Drew Brees to 212 yards passing and scored the potential game-tying touchdown with 24 seconds left by virtue of a six-play, 81-yard drive engineered deftly by quarterback Joe Flacco. Then, with overtime looming, Justin Tucker's seemingly automatic conversion sailed to the right . He was previously 222 for 222 since turning pro in 2012.The 24-23 defeat dropped Baltimore (4-3) out of a first-place tie in the AFC North with a matchup at Carolina upcoming Sunday."Our guys played very well," Harbaugh said Monday. "Many of the things that we learned in this last game, we can apply to the rest of the season. And we're going to try to do that and make the game a positive in that sense."At kickoff, the wind was blowing at 15 mph. Tucker didn't use that as an excuse, though that might have been a factor in his unexpected misfire."The wind was definitely part of it," Harbaugh insisted. "But at the end of the day, it's a missed kick."Tucker couldn't deny that."I feel like I cost us the game," he said Sunday night. "Every single one of my teammates thus far has told me the opposite Cheap Austin Carr Jersey , and no one play wins or loses a game. But that's a tough thing to grapple with when you're the guy in that situation at the end of the game."Harbaugh considered for a moment going for a 2-point conversion, but dismissed the notion because the plan all along was to kick the ball in that situation."The numbers say to put it in overtime. That's what the analytics say. It's a clear choice," Harbaugh said. "We have a Saturday morning meeting where we go through all those factors, and we had decided we would put it in overtime if it came to that."But you know, I had thoughts about going for 2. I was asked that, I thought about it. Your gut sometimes talks to you and you make a decision at the end based on that. At the end, I decided to go with what we talked about doing."One reason the Ravens are tough in overtime is because Tucker is the most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history and is 36 for 50 over his career from at least 50 yards out.Give Baltimore credit for getting in position to tie the game in the final minute, in part because the offensive line was thinned by injuries to Alex Lewis and James Hurst. Rookies Bradley Bozeman and Orlando Brown Jr. saw extensive action, and through it all Flacco was sacked only once."I thought they acquitted themselves very well," Harbaugh said of Bozeman and Brown. "Both of them will learn from it. I think they'll get a lot better because of the game experience they had and the speed of the game and all that. It was a positive in that sense."A victory would have given the Ravens sole possession of first place in the division. But who's to say they would have won in overtime?"It's one of these games that could've went either way," Flacco said. "There's no sense in putting your head down and crying about stuff like this. You just have to move on."The Ravens don't intend to let the loss define their season."We're not feeling sorry for ourselves. We fell one point short," said linebacker Terrell Suggs, who had the team's lone sack of Brees. "We've got the best kicker in ball, so we're not going to worry about that. We go back to the drawing board, get over this one quick, learn from your mistakes and get ready for Carolina."If that game comes down to a kick from Tucker in the closing seconds, there is a good chance he won't be thinking about his miss against the Saints."Justin's the best in the world at what he does, and he's the most confident person that I know," Flacco said. "It's not going to be an issue."

Fantasy Tip: After trade of Lions WR Golden Tate to Eagles, WR Kenny Golladay should have greater involvement. Had only three targets over last two games, after averaging nine over first five. On a night when the high-powered offense was stuck in neutral, the New Orleans Saints still found a way to grind out a 12-9 win over Carolina behind their ever-improving defense. That could bode well for these Saints (12-2) as they prepare to make a run at the Super Bowl. For years, they've relied on star quarterback Drew Brees to score a lot of points, put up big yardage and win games for them. But suddenly the Saints have a defense that is not only keeping them close when the offense sputters, but might be one of the best in the NFL. New Orleans has not allowed more than 17 points in any of its last six games."That's what the great teams find a way to do," said Brees, who was limited to 203 yards passing and intercepted once Monday night. "Despite what happens in the first three quarters or maybe the mistakes that were made prior to that, they just make the plays you need to make to win the game."Brees likes that the Saints have found many different ways to win, even though not all of them have been pretty. The 12 points against the Panthers marked the fewest for New Orleans in a victory since 1998.For most of the season the Saints relied on an electrifying offense, scoring 40 points or more six times. But recently it is the defense that has stepped up to make big plays."There's a lot to be said for that 鈥?finding ways to win http://www.thesaintsfootballauthentic.com/alex-okafor-jersey-authentic ," Brees said. "Battle-tested. These last two weeks, we've had to win in the fourth quarter, had to come back and win in the fourth quarter. On the road, divisional games, those are going to be hard-fought. Those are going to be tough and the great teams find a way. Our guys believe we're all going to step up, we're going to do this together, somebody's going to make a play."The Saints didn't make a lot of plays Monday, but they made enough. There was Eli Apple's interception of Cam Newton's pass in the end zone with 10 seconds left before halftime. There was Von Bell's strip of wide receiver D.J. Moore on an inside handoff and A.J. Klein's recovery, which led to the go-ahead score. There were four players who sacked Newton 鈥?and none were named Cam Jordan. Alvin Kamara had a 50-yard kickoff return. The little plays all add up."We are playing hard and playing for each other," Apple said.Unlike some of the NFL's other top teams 鈥?namely, the Rams and Chiefs 鈥?the Saints found a way to grind it out without their A game on offense this week.It didn't matter that the offense failed to gain more than 30 yards on seven of its first eight drives. It didn't matter because New Orleans could count on its defense.Jordan called it the best he's ever played on."I believe in us, game in and game out http://www.thesaintsfootballauthentic.com/larry-warford-jersey-authentic , first quarter to fourth quarter," Jordan said. "If it comes down to a crucial play, I believe in us. If we need a turnover, I believe in us."New Orleans has already wrapped up the NFC South title and can clinch home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a victory in either of its last two games, both at home, against Pittsburgh and Carolina.Looking for their second Super Bowl championship in a decade, the well-rounded Saints might just be the favorites heading into the postseason."We were just trying to stack weeks because you know you want to play your best ball in December," said Bell, who also had seven tackles and a sack. "That's what people remember and going into this last stretch we wanted to finish strong."

highest-scoring offense and top-ranked defense Youth Marcus Williams Jersey , the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens played to a near draw.New Orleans didn't come close to matching its average of 36 points, and the Baltimore defense finally wilted in the second half 鈥?thanks to the stellar play of Saints quarterback Drew Brees. At the end of New Orleans' 24-23 victory, players from both teams had plenty reason to feel good about how they performed.Everyone except Justin Tucker.Tucker was 222 for 222 on conversion kicks until he shanked one to the right with 24 seconds remaining and overtime seemingly waiting for these two evenly matched teams."I can't tell you exactly what happened," Tucker said, "but at the end of the day I feel like I cost us the game."The missed kick gave Brees his first career victory over the Ravens, the only team he had not defeated. He joins Brett Favre and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to beat every club.Brees threw his 500th TD pass to help the Saints (5-1) extend their winning streak to five. Manning, Favre, Tom Brady and now Brees are the only members of the 500 club.Joe Flacco went 23 for 39 for 279 yards for Baltimore (4-3) and fashioned a wonderful late drive to put the Ravens just an extra point away from overtime. Some other things to know about the Saints-Ravens game:THE FOURTH ESTATECoach Sean Payton had the Saints go for it on fourth down four times during a 20-play game-opening drive, the lone unsuccessful attempt coming on the final try, when a fumble by Taysom Hill was recovered by the Ravens' Michael Pierce at the Baltimore 6-yard line.New Orleans was 4 for 5 on fourth-down conversions for the day, something Brees said set the tone early for the kind of offensive game they wanted to play."It gives you a lot of confidence, you know?" Brees said. "Feeling like he's putting the ball in our hands to make the play and he's got plays he likes. That makes us feel like we're playing to win, not just playing."BROWN DELIVERSRavens receiver John Brown bounced back from two uneventful games with seven catches for 134 yards and the potential game-tying score with 24 seconds left.Brown signed with Baltimore as a free agent in March after playing four years in Arizona. He leads the Ravens in yards receiving and touchdown catches (4)."It was good just to be able to make the plays. The opportunity came to me," Brown said. "You can take all those yards back Womens Sheldon Rankins Jersey , the touchdown back. I'd rather get the win."A DIFFERENT LOOKBrees is a pure passer, so teams know what to expect from him. But Payton continues to integrate Taysom Hill, a second-year man out of Brigham Young, into the offense to give opponents a different look.So far, the ploy has paid dividends."He made some big plays," Payton said of Hill, who rushed three times for 12 yards. "He had a toss and he kept the ball. Look, he does so many different things. He's a football player. When the game is over and it's a grass field, his uniform is dirty."JACKSON'S SIXRookie quarterback Lamar Jackson scored his first NFL touchdown and gave the Ravens the lead when he carried the ball into the end zone with four seconds remaining in the first half."It was amazing. I'm in touchdown heaven, or football heaven, whatever you want to call it," he said. "Man, I'm taking this ball right to the sideline and keeping it."Jackson was the second of Baltimore's two first round draft picks this year. The Heisman Trophy winner in 2016 has appeared in every game but had not contributed a scoring play.HOLD THAT LINEWith Josh LeRibeus subbing for Andrus Peat (head injury) at left guard and reserve tackle Jermon Bushrod inactive following the death of his infant daughter, the Saints knew they'd have to get a cohesive effort from the offensive line to prevent Baltimore's barrage of blitzes.Well Womens Vonn Bell Jersey , Terrell Suggs' sack of Brees in the fourth quarter was the lone blemish on an otherwise spotless day of protection. And that came with LeRibeus missing time due to an ankle injury. Mark Ingram could see that the New Orleans Saints' offense was doing fine without him while he was at home in Florida, watching on television like any other fan during his four-game suspension. The veteran running back also would like to think New Orleans could be even better with him in the game plan, particularly in light of how fresh and motivated he feels after spending a month away from the club."I've had a lot of stuff pent up and built up and I'm ready to go. I'm hungry and ready to play ball and just help our team," said Ingram, whose suspension stemmed from his use of a banned substance. "They've been playing well, so I'm just trying to make us stronger and make us more explosive."Ingram joins a unit that has averaged 418.3 yards and 34.3 points per game. Alvin Kamara, the 2017 offensive rookie of the year, has gotten more work in Ingram's absence and has responded by devastating defenses with his dynamism on a variety of runs and receptions.Kamara leads the NFL with 611 yards from scrimmage (275 rushing, 336 passing) and is tied with several players for the NFL lead in TDs with six."He's been a monster, man, just being able to carry the load and what he's doing is special," Ingram said. Now the Saints will see if Ingram and Kamara — a tandem called "Boom and Zoom" by many fans — can again co-exist in the same backfield as well as they did last season."I'm not worried about it," Ingram said. "I'm going to just do me. I'm not Alvin. Alvin's not me so I'm just going to do what I do, do what I've been doing to get to this point in my career."Saints coach Sean Payton said he will have to "figure out the balance" of snaps between the two Pro Bowl running backs starting with Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins."Of course Authentic Alex Okafor Jersey , you have a little bit more versatility with someone with Mark's experience and I know it will be good for us offensively to have him back," Payton said.Although the Saints have been among the NFL's top offenses through the first four weeks, Payton said Ingram's return is "significant in a number of ways," ranging from his aptitude in pass protection to the way his presence allows the Saints to reduce the physical toll on Kamara."We talked all offseason about how this first month was going to be without Mark," Payton recalled. "The idea was for us to kind of keep those touches (for Kamara) in a similar area (to last season), the playing time in a similar area — and of course we weren't able to do that. In other words, his numbers did increase, and yet there's a wear and tear that takes place with that. When you're looking at a 16-week season, we look at it as having two outstanding running backs and I think they complement each other extremely well."Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Ingram's return "changes a lot" because of how much harder it is for defenses to anticipate where the ball will go when both Ingram and Kamara are on the field together."Those two guys being in the game together, it's a tough deal," Gruden said. "You know in-between-the-tackle runs will be more prevalent now. The power running game is back up and running. The things that they haven't it done without Ingram, they might do this week."Saints players often refer to Ingram as the consummate teammate — someone whose energy, unselfishness and work ethic are contagious.Ingram's affection for his teammates was apparent last Sunday night when he drove out to the airport to meet the team after New Orleans' victory over the New York Giants."I was excited that they won, so I just wanted to experience that a little bit Womens Max Unger Jersey ," Ingram said.Left tackle Terron Armstead described the scene at the airport as "just joy," adding, "Mark is a guy loved by the entire locker room and organization. It's just his energy that he brings. His positivity he brings to the team.""Mark is a huge addition," Armstead added. "I feel like our offense works best when — not just the offense, our entire team works best when the run game is going. When we can impose our will on opposing defenses."Ingram spent the past month in Florida, staying in shape with former NFL receiver Anquan Bolden — a long-time workout partner."He's retired, but he goes to work out every single day," Ingram said. "It was good to have a buddy to be able to work with and not just be out there putting in the work by myself."Saints players and Payton said Ingram looks ready."I mean, he wasn't gone for a year-and-a-half, or been a castaway on an island," Payton said. "It was four weeks. He's in good shape."

The Chiefs said all offseason

Messagepar laiyongcai92 » Ven 04 Jan 2019, 09:37

they were willing to live with some mistakes from Patrick Mahomes Los Angeles Chargers Hats , because they were convinced he’d make enough plays to make it worthwhile. In his first start with the job all his own, he was able to avoid the mistakes, and make enough plays to cruise to a ninth-straight head-to-head win over the Chargers 鈥?making it the best possible outcome.Mahomes was closer to efficient than eye-popping, but kept the ball in the hands of his playmakers as the Chiefs beat the Chargers 38-28.Mahomes was 15-of-27 for 256 yards and four touchdowns, and didn’t turn the ball over. And with the Chargers making their share of mistakes, that was enough.Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill hit the trifecta, catching a long touchdown pass (a 58-yarder), a short pass (a 1-yard flick which was punctuated with a back flip) and a punt return (91 yards to start the scoring). The Chargers had some bright moments (including the return of Antonio Gates who caught a touchdown), but dropped too many passes. A late muffed punt didn’t help Los Angeles Chargers Hoodie , but by that point, the Chiefs had established themselves. There was also a missed field goal, bringing back bad memories for the Chargers. But on the other side, the future was bright. While there will doubtless be harder days for Mahomes, Sunday was all they could have asked for.Los Angeles Chargers: Chapter 1 If Sunday was to be the opening chapter of the Chargers Super Bowl season, it might have caught most of us by surprise. Especially after reading the prologue, which only gushed about how the Chargers had finished last season strong and had greatly improved their team during the offseason. You expected the first chapter to be one filled with tales of our hero dominating his foe. Instead, the first sentence was, “The Chargers appeared to be stuck in cement shoes as they bumbled and stumbled in a vain attempt to tackle their adversary. They never got within an arm’s reach of Hill as he zipped by them to their amazement.”This chapter could very well be titled Youth Customized Los Angeles Chargers Jerseys , “Chargers’ gaffs cost them the day.” And in the chapter, you could go on to read these snippets.Jahleel Addae recklessly plunged ahead with the intent to harm his opponent but was left grasping at air as the weight of his foolish angle sunk in and his foe scampered towards 6 points.Travis Benjamin cradled his arms in anticipation of the high flying baby to settle gently into them, but as the football slipped between his elbows, he was reminded of those words his coach used to say, “Catch with your hands, Travis. Catch with your hands.”The gunslinger ignoring the fact that this play was taking too long and thus becoming too dangerous zipped a football into a crowd intent on making up lost ground but ended up giving away a good chance at putting points on the board.Kyle Emmanuel saw the floating object in the sky and became enamored by it. He forgot all about his coverage and stopped and leaped into the air after the object to only see it float over his fingers and into the opponent’s arms who was standing right where Kyle would have been if he had not stopped running.JJ Jones so focused on making a big play forgot the first and second rule of being a punt returner. 1. Secure the football. 2. Make sure you did the first rule.Caleb Sturgis felt the pressure. This kick would not only bring his team within distance to tie the game, but it would also bring him a feeling of acceptance with his new club. It was the weight of that pressure that threw off his balance causing the kick to sail wide left.Seven sentences. Seven plays that turned the Chargers’ Sunday into a loss. But every great story is sprinkled with some adversity, right? Does Luke Skywalker give up after OB1 dies? No, he goes on to blow up the freaking Death Star. If this is to be an epic tale than Chapter 1 was destined to bring some adversity. And like any good story www.chargersfootballauthentics.com , there was hope to be found in Sunday’s mistake-ridden loss. The Chargers actually played fairly well on offense minus an interception and some dropped passes. The rushing game produced 123 yards and averaged 5.6 per carry. The passing game produced 424 yards of offense and 3 TDs. They owned the advantage in time of possession by 9 minutes and outgained the Chiefs 541 yards to 362 yards. And keep in mind that 28 points is usually going to win you a game on Sunday. The defense overall did a fair job against what is one of the better offenses in the league. The held Kareem Hunt and Kansas City running game to 106 yards and a 3.9 average per carry. If there was another villain in this story besides Tyreek Hill, it was the Charger’s special teams, which was responsible for a 17 point swing. They surrendered the punt return for 7 points, fumbled on the 6-yard line which led to 7 points and missed a field goal wide left leaving 3 points on the field. Those 17 points were the difference in the game. So, where do we find our hero at the end of this 1st chapter? Is he hopeless or just beaten and bruised and a little more aware of some things that can be fixed? I would tend to think the latter. The dropped passes were uncharacteristic. The special teams coverage can be fixed. The fumble was a lack of focus when it counted most. It’s time to look deep inside and find that hero’s heart because that is what comes next in every hero’s journey.I expect chapter two to feature a comeback for our hero. Until then, look for hope and Bolt Up!

Baker Mayfield bravely stood in the pocket last week

Messagepar laiyongcai92 » Ven 04 Jan 2019, 10:00

held the ball — sometimes for too long — http://www.authenticlosangeleschargers.com/cheap-desmond-king-jersey and took some punishing shots from the Los Angeles Chargers. He hasn't recovered.Physically, he's fine. Mentally, Cleveland's quarterback hasn't healed."That is the worst loss that I have ever had," Mayfield said Wednesday. For the first time this season, the Browns (2-3-1) weren't competitive in Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Chargers, and Mayfield looked like what he is: a rookie who is going to make mistakes and take some lumps from time to time. But as he and his teammates prepare to play at Tampa Bay on Sunday, the No. 1 overall pick is showing leadership and a resolve not to let it happen again. The Browns may soon find out how far they've come — or how far they've got to go."Any loss like that hurts," Mayfield said. "You have to push forward and just have to do your job, and you will find out what this team is made of. It is never about the week before or if you win or lose — it is how you react from it. Coming off of a loss, we will really see what this team is made of."Mayfield's third career pro start was one of the worst of his football life. He completed just 22 of 46 passes (48 percent) for 238 yards with two interceptions. For a player who completed 71 percent of his passes last season at Oklahoma and 69 percent over four years (the first at Texas Tech), Mayfield's inaccuracy against the Chargers was an anomaly. It was the first time his completion rate was under 50 percent since Nov. 21, 2015, when he went 9 of 20 against TCU. However, he only played the first half of that game because of a concussion.Mayfield only twice completed less than 50 percent of his passes in 48 college games, which is why he was so despondent about his performance last week."Mathematically, which I think goes hand in hand with emotionally," he said when asked why he called it his worst loss. "Just did not play well, plain and simple. No way around it. It was not fun."Cleveland's offensive line struggled to protect Mayfield, whose mobility was impacted when he slipped and tweaked his ankle while running out of bounds in the first quarter. The Chargers were able to keep Mayfield from rolling out and making plays. But perhaps more problematic was Mayfield missed open receivers http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-mike-pouncey-jersey , misread coverages and didn't release the ball quickly enough. There were plays when a simple dump-off throw to a running back would have been a better option."Kudos to them for doing their job," Mayfield said of the Chargers. "They did it well. At the same time, if I get the ball out of my hands, then none of that really matters. It just comes down to me not doing my job to the best of my ability, plain and simple. There is no way around it. I have to be better for this team and be that for our offense."Browns coach Hue Jackson was pleased to hear that Mayfield was accountable. However, it wasn't entirely his fault as Cleveland's receivers weren't getting open and rookies Antonio Callaway and Damion Ratley didn't make plays on deep balls that could have been touchdowns.Mayfield took the blame.Jackson spread it around."We have to make sure that we are in the right spots for him all of the time," Jackson said. "I think there were some opportunities there. As I said to our line coaches, we have to make sure that we give up ground grudgingly for this young man. I do not want people hitting our quarterback. He has been hit way too much in my mind and then he has to get the ball out of his hand."I have seen some things where he can improve, but I have seen some things where the unit can improve more than anything."NOTES: QB Tyrod Taylor, who lost his job to Mayfield when he suffered a concussion in Week 3, believes he can still be a winning NFL starter. The 29-year-old said he has not considered asking for a trade. "My mindset is to continue to keep helping this team," Taylor said in his first extensive interview since getting hurt. "It's a new role for me." Taylor will be a free agent after the season, and Jackson expects him to finish it with the Browns. "Until someone tells me something differently," Jackson said. "He is our backup quarterback." ... Starting C JC Tretter (ankle) did not practice, but Jackson thinks he'll be ready for Sunday. If not, rookie Austin Corbett will start. Even though he says he's not paying that much attention to it, David Johnson says he's "very encouraged" about ongoing contract talks between his agent and the Arizona Cardinals."They said they're going to continue to talk and hopefully we can get a deal done soon," he said. The standout running back held out during the team's three-day minicamp but has been a full participant in training camp, and had a pair of impressive runs to start Saturday night's preseason 24-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers."I'm letting my agent handle it Youth Kyzir White Jersey ," he said. "I really want to focus on football because I don't want to hinder my play on the field."Johnson said he believes the Cardinals and the team's fan base know how good he is, but he believes others around the NFL may have forgotten. He's out to remind them and prove he's worth a big contract. An All-Pro selection in 2016, when he led the NFL in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns, Johnson fractured his left wrist in the 2017 season opener and hadn't played since — until those two carries against the Chargers. The injury is what is holding up a contract, he believes."I didn't play last year," Johnson said. "I was hoping that my production from my second year and what I did get in the first year would help out, but the NFL is what have you done for me lately. So hopefully I can prove it."Johnson, a third-round draft pick out of Northern Iowa in 2015, is set to make $1.9 million in this the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. That's far, far below what other big-time running backs will earn.Johnson said he was "a little anxious but not rusty" when he made his return to the game.In each of his two carries, the big, fast back gained 14 yards behind a revamped offensive line that cleared the way for him."The biggest thing I was pumped up about is how easy it was for me to get through the holes," Johnson said. "They were gaping holes. The guys up front blocked very well for me."New coach Steve Wilks wants an offense that emphasizes power running and that's what he got from the first unit in its only series against LA, which culminated with a 2-yard TD run by Johnson's hard-running backup, rookie Chase Edmonds.New quarterback Sam Bradford, who completed his only pass for 6 yards, said the Cardinals established just what they wanted to in that opening series."We've talked all preseason, really all camp, about coming out and establishing our physicality in being able to run the football http://www.chargersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-derwin-james-jersey ," Bradford said after practice Tuesday. "For us to be able to come out and do what we did I think is extremely encouraging just because it's something that has been an emphasis and something that has been talked about so much."What the Cardinals didn't see is Johnson as a receiver. He caught 80 passes for 879 yards two seasons ago (along with 1,239 yards rushing in 293 attempts)."I want to be on the field as much as possible," Johnson said, "third downs have me split out at receiver. Not just third downs, but any play whenever we think I have an advantage over the defender, hopefully I can be split out or coming out of the backfield as a receiver."Bradford marveled at how Johnson has run routes as a receiver in practice."I mean, he's pretty impressive," Bradford said. "Today at practice, just watching him run routes, I think he might be one of our best route runners, regardless of position. He's just so smooth. He's so versatile as a running back that there are so many different things you can do with him."Last week, watching him take the first two carries for 14 yards, that's what he's best at. We've just got to find ways to give him opportunities to make plays like that."The Cardinals went through their final outdoor practice Tuesday. They will break Arizona's shortest training camp in recent memory with a workout Wednesday inside University of Phoenix Stadium. The Cardinals are at New Orleans in their second preseason game on Friday night and are to return to work out Sunday at the team's practice facility some 40 miles to the east in Tempe.Notes: Arizona signed wide receiver Austin Wolf, an undrafted rookie free agent from Akron, and released wide receiver Richard Ross.

The New England Patriots offense showed some encouraging

progress over the last three games. Scoring 38 www.authenticsnewenglandpatriots.com , 38 and 43 points during their current three-game winning streak, Tom Brady and company appeared to have finally found their rhythm after an inconsistent start to the season. Today, however, the unit will face its biggest challenge since the Jacksonville Jaguars defense in week two: a Chicago Bears team that ranks fourth in the league after allowing just 19.2 points per game so far.New England – shorthanded due to injuries suffered by starting right tackle Marcus Cannon and tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Jacob Hollister – therefore needs to play its best football. In order to do that and come away with a victory, three things need to be done.Keep Tom Brady cleanMaking sure that quarterback Tom Brady is given space and time in the pocket is something that needs to be high up on the Patriots’ list of priorities every single week. However, against a defense like Chicago’s, this rings especially true. After all, the Bears are one of the NFL’s best clubs when it comes to pressuring opposing passers and taking them down for a loss of yardage: only two teams average more sacks per game than Chicago’s 3.6.After some questions earlier this week when it comes to the availability of star pass rusher Khalil Mack, the unit will be at full strength today: Mack, who leads the team with 5.0 sacks and is coming off an ankle injury, is expected to be active against the Patriots. New England, meanwhile, will be without stalwart right tackle Marcus Cannon who has already been declared “out” on Friday after suffering a concussion during last Sunday’s game. In Cannon’s place New England Patriots T-Shirt , LaAdrian Waddle will start at right tackle and go against Mack.Naturally, this matchup favors the Bears. The ex-Oakland Raider is far from the only player to worry about from New England’s perspective, though: defensive tackle and ex-Patriot Akiem Hicks is one of the NFL’s most productive interior rushers, while the rest of the front seven has also shown tremendous ability to get after the quarterback. After allowing only two sacks over the last three games, Dante Scarnecchia’s unit therefore needs to bring its A-game not just when it comes to slowing down Mack.Don’t get greedyThe Patriots and especially Tom Brady have a tendency to try to make something out of nothing this season with oftentimes negative results: at multiple points over the first six games, the greatest quarterback of all time tried to force a play when the better decision would have been to just throw the football away or take a sack. This, in turn, led to an increased number of Patriots turnovers this season. Now, New England has to go against one of the NFL’s premier squads when it comes to taking the football away: the Bears defense registered a league-best 14 takeaways so far this season. Chicago came away with 10 interceptions and also recovered four fumbles. All in all, 24.1% of the team’s defensive drives ended in a takeaway, which is clearly the best number in all of football.Taking care of the ball is therefore imperative for New England. One way to do that is by limiting the risk of negative plays through smart decisions and not trying to get greedy when no chance to gain yards presents itself.Use misdirection to gain an advantageOne of Chicago’s defensive strengths is the athleticism of its linebacker corps. Led by the aforementioned Khalil Mack, former first-round draft picks Roquan Smith and Leonard Floyd, and veteran Danny Trevathan New England Patriots Hats , the group has been able to play aggressively against both the run and the pass and so far held its own in both areas. But while this approach has yielded very good results for the Bears defense this season, New England could try to take advantage of it by challenging the linebackers’ instincts and quickness through misdirection plays. Whether it is classic play-action passes or more elaborate schemes like jet sweeps or reverse runs, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels should try to put pressure on Chicago’s hyper-athletic linebackers early and often. Why? Misdirection counteracts defensive aggressiveness by forcing players to trust their eyes and knowledge of an opponent over their athleticism and instincts – and the Patriots have the right personnel to attack the Bears’ hyper-athletic linebacker group that way. Don’t be surprised therefore to see Julian Edelman or Cordarrelle Patterson carry the football, or to see Sony Michel get regular carries early on against one of the best run defenses in the NFL.Jason McCourty agrees to a restructured deal to remain with the Patriots Amid the flurry of Tuesday morning’s roster activity was the news that, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots and Jason McCourty reached an agreement to restructure the defensive back’s 2018 contract prior to Sunday’s victory in Foxborough. Here’s how Jason McCourty’s deal now breaks down on the team’s salary cap sheet:2018 salary: $1,600,0002018 roster bonus: $375,000 (already paid)Per-game bonuses: $350,000 ($400,000 “LTBE” for 14 games)“LTBE” Incentives: $1,000,000Offseason workout bonus: $7 New England Patriots Hoodie ,095Total 2018 cap figure: $3,332,095Because McCourty played in 84.18% of the Browns’ defensive snaps a year ago, the $1,000,000 playing time incentives will be considered likely to be earned (LTBE), increasing his 2018 cap figure by $356,250. In turn, the restructure will cost the Patriots that amount in 2018 cap space — a figure that could increase by $50,000 if he is active for all 16 regular season games this year. Why would the team agree to a restructure that would cost them cap space — particularly with a player who was perceived to be on the roster bubble coming out of camp? It’s simple, really. The team clearly sees the value in having McCourty provide depth at multiple positions in the secondary, while also contributing on special teams. However, his contract just wasn’t commensurate with that type of role. In reality Youth Customized New England Patriots Jerseys , the agreement is a player pay cut of which the salary cap benefits for the organization are deferred. Barring an epidemic of injuries to the team’s secondary, McCourty will not come close to earning much, if not all, of the playing time incentives — as evidence by his 6 defensive snaps played against the Texans. Any unearned incentive cash, as well as any unpaid per-game bonus money, will be credited to the team’s 2019 adjusted cap figure.McCourty — an NFL veteran playing in his 10th season — is clearly happy with an opportunity for a spot on a roster where he can chase a Super Bowl victory alongside his twin brother. Were he not to agree to the pay cut, he likely would have been released, leaving him with the improbability of receiving comparable compensation on the open market for his services.Coupled with the signings of wide receivers Corey Coleman and Bennie Fowler on Tuesday, the Patriots’ 2018 cap space figure currently sits around $4.8 million.Follow Brian Phillips on Twitter @BPhillips_SB

Week 5 offers a test of whether several of the surprising pe

in the first quarter of the regular season will have staying power. It also could show whether some slow starters are ready to get off the deck.Fantasy owners should be prepared to move away from players whose fortunes are changing for the worse.START: Aaron Jones Womens Isaac Rochell Jersey , RB, Packers: He's ready to snatch the lead role from Jamaal Williams after averaging 6.3 yards on his first 17 carries while also recording the team's first run of better than 20 yards during last week's win over the Bills. Jones' breakout performance will come at the expense of a Lions run defense that is last in rushing yards allowed per game (157.8) and 30th in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Expect the Packers to give Jones at least 16-18 touches at the low end, which will translate into a big afternoon for users who plug him into lineups.SIT: Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks: There is nothing to like about the prospect of Wilson facing a Rams defense that is tied for fifth in fewest points allowed and seventh in fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Since throwing for 298 yards against the Broncos in the regular season opener, Wilson's yardage totals have dipped with each game. More unnerving is the fact Wilson 鈥?who has rushed for at least 489 yards in five of his first six seasons 鈥?has only 42 rushing yards on 11 carries. If Wilson doesn't provide the threat of running, his fantasy value takes a huge hit.START: Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars: Coming off a season-high 13 targets against the Jets, Westbrook can put up massive numbers if given a similar workload against the Chiefs, who are 31st in passing yards allowed and have given up 20 completions of better than 20 yards. Westbrook had nine catches for 130 yards last week and will also get the occasional run via the jet sweep. With Leonard Fournette sidelined, an aggressive Jacksonville passing game will produce fantasy gold if Blake Bortles is given the chance to exploit Kansas City's weak secondary.SIT: Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs: Yes, sit the story of the first quarter of the season. Mahomes has made it look easy at times, but he hasn't faced a defense the caliber of the Jaguars, who allow a league-low 164 passing yards per game with only three touchdown passes. Jacksonville also limits foes to a mere 14 points per contest, and while it may sound crazy to bench Mahomes, his fantasy owners must realize he'll come back to earth at some point. That "some point" will be Sunday, so Mahomes owners would be wise to either use a backup with an obviously better matchup or hit the waiver wire to find a streaming option.START: Matt Breida, RB Authentic Brandon Mebane Jersey , 49ers: Only the Lions defense is more run-friendly than the Cardinals, who give up 141.3 yards per game on the ground and a league-high seven touchdowns. Breida had only 61 total yards on 12 touches in last week's loss to the Chargers, and a shoulder injury has limited him in practice this week, but Breida is still on point to get the start. He probably won't need more than 15-17 touches to justify his spot in lineups.SIT: Lamar Miller, RB, Texans: The Texans are quietly awaiting the return of D'Onta Foreman to spark their run game because Miller hasn't been up to the task. Miller is averaging just 3.9 yards per carry and no longer gets enough targets to make him viable in PPR formats. The Cowboys are fifth in fewest yards per carry (3.6) and a respectable 12th overall in rushing yards allowed, translating into Miller 鈥?who has just one touchdown thus far 鈥?sitting on the fantasy bench.START: Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons: Silent for much of the season, Hooper is a high-risk, high-reward play against a Steelers defense that is 31st in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Pittsburgh has given up 30 completions in 42 targets at the position for 339 yards with three touchdowns and in a game that shapes up to be high-scoring, Hooper is the type of show stealer that will make fantasy owners look smart for playing him.SIT: Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings: The Eagles are downright stingy against the run, and with Cook's hamstring continuing to be an issue, now is not the time to risky empty numbers from him against the league's top-ranked run defense. Cook had just 20 yards on 10 carries against the Rams last week and could be just as limited, provided he even suits up. His owners should concede that Cook is maybe two to three weeks away from being capable of being effective.START: Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: One of the most intriguing players of the first quarter of the season, Ekeler's quick-strike skills are well-suited for facing a Raiders defense that allows 5.6 yards per carry. Melvin Gordon will get his touches, but Ekeler's numbers suggest he's worth strong RB2 consideration in PPR formats. He won't need a lot of touches to make starting him worthwhile.SIT: Quincy Enunwa Womens Drew Kaser Jersey , WR, Jets: After a promising start to the season, Enunwa has caught just half of his 16 targets for 123 yards in the last two games. Rookie Sam Darnold will continue tossing the ball in Enunwa's direction, but New York welcomes a Denver pass defense that is sixth in fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. There's good reason to believe Enunwa will stretch his touchdown drought to four straight games, making it a good reason not to play him. Mike Williams is starting to show why the Los Angeles Chargers selected him in the first round of the 2017 draft. The second-year wide receiver has three touchdowns and is averaging 17.2 yards per catch. He had his first two-touchdown game with four receptions for 81 yards in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Rams ."His confidence is at an all-time high. He's looking good," coach Anthony Lynn said Monday. "Last year he was learning on the run because he wasn't practicing a lot. He has been really consistent for us so far."Williams, who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, can be a matchup problem for opposing defenses when he is healthy. But he has battled injury problems two of the past three seasons.During his sophomore year at Clemson in 2015, Williams broke his neck when his head slammed into the padded base of the goal post after a touchdown. He missed six games last year due to back and knee injuries.Williams is hoping that this year mirrors what he did at Clemson in 2016, when he had 98 receptions for 1,361 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to their second national championship. If the first three weeks are any indication, Williams has the potential for another bounce-back season. Both of his touchdowns against the Rams came despite tight windows to catch the ball. The 42-yard touchdown during the first quarter came while Marcus Peters was draped over him in coverage in the end zone on a go route. On Williams' second touchdown, which came during the third quarter, he caught the ball at the Rams 3 on an out route and was able to outmuscle Lamarcus Joyner to the end zone."I'm making the best of my opportunities. Every time the ball comes my way, I feel like something good comes from it," Williams said.Williams is also showing a knack for making positive plays when he has the ball. All but one of his 11 receptions has been for a first down and four have gone for 20 yards or more. Williams' ability to move the chains is also a reason why he continues to gain more trust from Philip Rivers."He's come along. He's going to continue to do this," Rivers said. "He's only going to continue to be more and more of a factor for us."Williams is hoping to have another big game this week when the Chargers host the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners (1-2) come into the game with the fifth-worst pass defense in the league and will be without cornerback Richard Sherman (groin) as well as quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's 38-27 loss at Kansas City.Notes: Lynn said Monday that defensive end Joey Bosa will miss his fourth straight game due to a foot injury. Lynn has not shut the door on a possible return for offensive tackle Joe Barksdale. Barksdale suffered a knee injury in the Sept. 9 game against Kansas City and has missed the past two games. ... After watching the tape of the Rams game, Lynn put a lot of the blame on punter Drew Kaser for having his punt blocked in the end zone. Lynn said Kaser should not have taken a three-step drop and should have gotten rid of the ball sooner.Follow Joe Reedy at joereedy

Patriots fans know they shouldn’t overreact to the 31-20 los

Stephen Gostkowski shanked a 54-yard field goal attempt into the upper deck. On the Jaguars opening drive Youth Customized New England Patriots Jerseys , Trey Flowers forced an incredible fumble that bounced right into the hands of a Jaguars player who picked it up for a first down. On that same drive, Flowers was knocked out of the game with a concussion after he took a hit from teammate Keionta Davis. On the next play, Kyle Van Noy made a tackle and his helmet did this:What did you think was going to happen in this game? The Jacksonville Jaguars outplayed, outcoached, and outmanned the New England Patriots on Sunday. They deserved to win because they won in every facet of the game. But this game was like watching a series of unfortunate events for New England with worst-case scenarios at every turn, including a different concussion suffered by Patrick Chung.CBS BroadcastAnd we all know not to overreact, right? This type of game won’t happen again with all of the injuries and bad bounces. And if and when the Patriots and Jaguars meet again in the postseason, it won’t be 97 degrees outside. A terrible, no good, very bad, lousy Patriots performance in the first four games of the season has been like clockwork since 2014. There was the blowout in Miami (the 89 degree game mentioned in the above graphic) in 2014 and there was the Kansas City Chiefs “they’re just not good anymore” game. They were shutout by the Buffalo Bills in 2016. They were crushed by the Chiefs (again) in 2017.Super Bowl. Super Bowl. Super Bowl appearance. There’s a lot that the Patriots need to work on in order to make it back to the championship and we shouldn’t take the team’s success for granted. Someone on the offense needs to step up while Julian Edelman is suspended. The defense really needs to figure itself out because they’ve played six quarters of sub-par and terrible football. But I also trust that the Patriots coaching staff will figure this out and that someone will step up on offense and the defensive scheme will settle down in week 6 or so and start playing at a high level. Bill Belichick is still the head coach. Tom Brady is still the quarterback. There wasn’t much to like about this Jaguars game and the severity of the concussions suffered by Flowers and Chung could have a major impact on next week’s game against the Detroit Lions. And yet these circumstances are familiar. We’ve been here before and we’ve already heard this story. The Jaguars have the driver’s seat. The Patriots will be ready for the January rematch. Pete Carroll looked to a Seahawks staffer with a bemused expression as he continued to field questions about a player who is no longer part of Seattle's locker room."Pretty good love-fest for Sherm," Carroll quipped.Richard Sherman's impending return to Seattle this week has dominated the conversation and will dominate the attention leading into Sunday's game between the Seahawks and Sherman's new team in San Francisco. For good reason www.thepatriotsfootballauthentic.com , too. Sherman remains one of the central figures in Seattle's success during Carroll's tenure that included the franchise's only Super Bowl title.Yet, his time in Seattle ended with a messy separation this past offseason. It was a business decision that ultimately led to Sherman finding a new home in San Francisco. And while the relationship between Sherman and the Seahawks was at times contentious, there was respect for what he helped the franchise accomplish."We had tremendous conversations all the way through the stages of what happened at the end," Carroll said. "Sherm and I were sitting in my office eye-to-eye talking through everything and it was really straightforward and clear and he was handling his own business and he had to be really on top of it, which he was, and did a fantastic job for himself, too. But our communication was great."Sherman was a three-time All-Pro during his seven seasons in Seattle. He developed from a lightly regarded fifth-round pick into one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, an anchor for Seattle's "Legion of Boom" secondary that's now been completely taken apart due to departures and injuries. Sherman seemed to always find his way into the center of attention, whether it was talking smack to Tom Brady after beating the Patriots in a 2012 regular-season game, antics directed toward Michael Crabtree after the 2013 NFC championship game, or barking at coaches on the sideline. It was clearly time for a change and it included some critical comments Sherman had for Carroll on his way out. Carroll said he wasn't bothered."I know who Sherm is. I know him way differently than you guys probably think I do. I think the world of him," Carroll said. "There was times (when) he was here where he might have said something that I didn't agree with and had to work through it and all that. He is his own man. He was a stud of a guy when he was here and whatever came out in the transition came out. I could care less about that."Cornerback Shaquill Griffin thinks of Sherman as a mentor. When Griffin arrived last year as a rookie New England Patriots T-Shirt , Sherman became a guide to Griffin on how to be a pro."I didn't expect him to take me under his wing the way he did. That was all a surprise to me but I'm grateful that he did," Griffin said. "I came in, he had open arms for me and whatever it took. I remember he told me, 'I won't give you so much you can't handle unless I know you can.' I remember after the first couple of games he was like, 'You know what, I see you're ready. I'm going to give you everything I know and we're going to go from there.' It's not like he got paid to do stuff like that. He doesn't. So you can tell he's really a genuine guy."Bobby Wagner joked there will likely be a lot of trash talking and that he won't let Sherman get an interception even if that means coming off the sideline to make sure it doesn't happen. Wagner became serious when asked about what kind of reception Sherman should receive. Sports radio has been filled with questions about whether Sherman should be lauded or booed upon his return."He should be received with the loudest cheer they could possibly cheer and the warmest of welcomes. It's not like he said, 'I hate this team, I want to leave.' There is a business side of everything," Wagner said. "I would be surprised if anybody booed. If they did boo him they weren't a Richard Sherman fan in the first place. I think he deserves the applause. He was part of the team that helped bring the city the first football championship. I wouldn't expect anything other than respect."NOTES: LB K.J. Wright is "away from the team" this week doing rehab on his troublesome knee that has caused him to miss the past two games, Carroll said. Wright will not play this week. ... Seattle activated RB J.D. McKissic to the 53-man roster. McKissic had been out all season after suffering a foot injury in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve. He returned to practice last week.
